The Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate a major milestone for one of our region’s strongest community pillars — the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley!

I’m Armando with the RGV Hispanic Chamber, and I invite you to join us for a special ribbon cutting as the Food Bank RGV unveils its brand-new cooler and freezer facility this Friday in Pharr.

This expanded cold-storage space, located behind the historic Valley Fruit Company building, marks a transformative step in the Food Bank’s mission. With greater capacity to safely store fresh produce, dairy, and proteins, the Food Bank RGV can now support even more families across Hidalgo, Cameron, and Willacy counties, while helping partner agencies maintain steady inventory year-round.

A stronger facility means a stronger community — and this achievement reflects the dedication of an organization committed to fighting hunger across the Valley.
